About PrintProfit

PrintProfit is an independent collection of free calculators for people who make and sell 3D prints. We built it because most "pricing" advice in the maker world ignores the costs that actually erode your profit — machine wear, failed prints, your own time, and marketplace fees.

Our methodology

Every calculator uses a transparent, published formula (shown on each tool's page) so you can check our working. Material densities are representative values drawn from manufacturer technical datasheets and the MatWeb materials database; because real filament varies by brand and fill, we treat them as nominal midpoints and recommend weighing a sample when precision matters.

Marketplace fee rates (Etsy, Amazon Handmade, eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop) are the standard published rates as of June 2026. Fees change and vary by country and category, so each result shows the date our rates were verified and reminds you to confirm against your own seller account.

How it's funded
